Meet the Team
The philosophy that motivates everyone on our care teams at Ancestral Health is pretty simple:
“Do whatever it takes to effectively, comfortably, and safely treat your patient. Whatever that ‘whatever’ is.”
Daniel Trussler founded Ancestral Health on the belief of participatory care where the patient is an instrumental partner in returning their body back to health (or keeping it healthy). And that it’s not about pre-determined ideas about a diagnosis without a full understanding of a patient’s situation.
That’s why the care team at Ancestral Health will leave no stone unturned when it comes to getting to the root cause of your gastrointestinal problems. In fact, the medical community finally realises that all disease starts in the gut, and without taking the gut into account, no autoimmunity and inflammation processes can be addressed at the root cause.
About Daniel Trussler
Daniel graduated from the prestigious British School of Osteopathy in London and has practiced as a registered osteopath for many years both in the UK and Australia. During this time he has expanded his knowledge and skill set to include nutritional evaluations, lifestyle coaching and Functional Medicine training. He and his team now offer bespoke 3, 6 and 9 month programs to clients that treat the root cause of health concerns. We utilise labouratory testing to gain an accurate examination of the biochemical profile of each client to best help them towards their goals. This is followed by a detailed insight into the four pillars of health; sleep, diet, physical movement and stress management.
The Ancestral Health Clinic was set up in the summer of 2017 in Tiptree, Essex, United Kingdom. Clients remark on how the space has a relaxing feel to it, through the use of indoor plants and essential oil aromas. The clinic aims to create a strong community focus, with healthy families at the heart of this. We have our hypno-birthing practitioner, Holly Gilbert, who helps first time mothers and their partners overcome their fears about giving birth. Our workshop space is also used by our mothers and their children to connect through stories, songs and play. We also facilitate cooking workshops, nature walks and essential oil workshops for our community.
